Fluorosilicone Rubber - One of the Best Synthetic Rubbers with Excellent Overall Performance in the World Today. Fluorosilicone rubber is synthesized by introducing fluorine-containing groups onto the carbon chain of silicone rubber. It has a main chain of -Si-O- with side groups of methyl, vinyl, and trifluoropropyl attached to the silicon atoms, and a molecular weight ranging from 500,000 to 1.5 million.
As a result, fluorosilicone rubber combines the advantages of both fluorocarbon rubber and silicone rubber. It exhibits excellent resistance to oils (such as gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, and fuels), a wide temperature range (-60°C to 200°C), weather resistance, media resistance, excellent electrical properties, low surface tension, superior hydrophobicity, and non-flammability or low flammability.
